Iraq Vet uses memes to criticize Congress over budget
September 27, 2021

Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA) once commanded National Guardsmen in Iraq. Now, she’s using memes to explain her budgetary concerns to Congress. Watch the video below:

There are a great many topics we have to research while writing articles. Admittedly, we are not congressional financial subject matter experts. Most people are not in fact, as it is a very complex topic. However, we can enthusiastically claim to be meme experts. Seeing this format being used at the Capitol is truly a proud moment.

Whether you agree with the speech or not, we can all acknowledge it was more entertaining than most speeches given by Congress. Perhaps the retired Lieutenant Colonel was appealing to the future of our nation, Gen-Z.

Often times, people make their entire decision about a subject based on memes, or mere headlines. We highly encourage everyone to research topics that impact their lives. Sometimes the matter is not as clear cut as you would be led to believe.
