Three Rivers Battalion hosts “Hallo-5k”
October 21, 2021

The University of Pittsburgh Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) program dates back to 1918. However, their ranks have grown much since then, gaining nearly two dozen partner and affiliate universities. As a result, the unit officially adopted the name of the “Three Rivers Battalion” in 2008.

Being one of the most historic programs in the country, the Three Rivers Battalion has many traditions. Among these are the highly anticipated Annual Branching and Military Ball.

As the school year progresses, the race is on to fundraise for these time honored gatherings.

Being formally trained to take the initiative, Cadets of the Battalion have organized a spooky halloween themed “Hallo-5k.”

The Hallo-5k will take place in scenic Schenley Park, on October 31, 2021. The event website states, “All tickets will come with a free customized, athletic-blend running shirt, as well as access to our post-run entertainment and food truck round-up on-site at the finish line.”
