The extent of the damage is unknown at this time. Witnesses state the pilot did not appear to be injured, but was taken to a nearby medical facility as a precaution.

It is also unknown if the aircraft carried any live munitions at the time of the accident.

The Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor was introduced in 2005. The single-seat, twin-engine, all-weather stealth tactical fighter aircraft was produced for the United States Air Force.
