Kyiv Strike Kills Child, Injures Dozens
A Russian strike on Kyiv killed a 12-year-old and injured multiple people, with additional attacks reported in Dnipro, Kharkiv and Odesa.

A Russian attack on Kyiv early Thursday resulted in the death of a 12-year-old child and left at least 10 people injured, including several emergency responders, according to local authorities.
Mayor Vitali Klitschko said the fatality occurred in the Podilskyi district after fragments from a missile hit a 16-storey building, igniting a fire in a residential area.

“As a result of the attack, a 12-year-old child has been killed,” Klitschko said, adding that 10 individuals were wounded, among them several medics.
Emergency crews later rescued another child along with her mother from debris at the site in Podilskyi.
The strike also affected the Obolonsky district of Kyiv, where falling missile debris triggered a significant blaze in a non-residential structure. Several vehicles in the area were also set on fire, officials reported.
Tymur Tkachenko, head of the city’s military administration, urged residents to remain in shelters until the air raid alert was lifted.
In a separate incident, another attack on the central Ukrainian city of Dnipro injured 10 people. Regional official Oleksandr Ganzha said a 40-year-old woman was among those hurt and was in serious condition in hospital.
Elsewhere, a drone strike in the northeastern city of Kharkiv injured a 77-year-old woman and a 66-year-old man. In the southern port city of Odesa, five more people were reported wounded following another attack, according to officials.
