The events have already been felt on a global scale.

Over the weekend, the United States and Israel launched several coordinated strikes against Iran. As a result, Iran has launched several retaliatory strikes, including an Iranian drone strike against the US military’s Camp Buehring in northwestern Kuwait and a drone strike against Navy’s 5th Fleet headquarters building in Bahrain.

The Bahrain Defense Force released a statement saying it had shot down 45 incoming missiles and nine drones. Qatar, Jordan also said they had intercepted missiles fired towards them, with Oman and Saudi Arabia also stating they were targeted by Iranian strikes. Tel Aviv, Israel, was also hit by several missiles.

In the wake of the events, the United Nations condemned an Israeli strike against a girls' primary school in Minab, southern Iran, which they state resulted in the deaths of over 100 individuals, including many students. On Sunday, an Israeli air strikes targeted Gandhi Hospital in northern Tehran.

Once this news became public, chaotic protests began to take place at several U.S. diplomatic building locations, including Baghdad, Iraq, and Karachi, Pakistan.

Protests in Karachi resulted in civilians damaging property and attempting to infiltrate the U.S. consulate. As a result, US Marines reportedly killed 9 and injured over a dozen more, with some reports claiming it was Pakistani security forces who opened fire and 22 were killed with over a hundred injured.

Additionally, the Iranian military have begun telling ships they are not allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, a vital shipping lane to the global economy.

Currently, Iran is experiencing a near-total internet blackout, meaning it is near impossible to get reliable and up-to-date information out of the country. However according to the Red Crescent, more than 200 people were killed and more than 700 injured across the country on Saturday. Iranian media has confirmed the death of former Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. U.S. reports also indicate they believe Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed, along with 5-10 of his top leaders.
