NATO has reported this week that they estimate that up to 40,000 Russian troops in Ukraine have been killed, wounded, captured, or reported missing. Of those 40,000 troops, 7,000 to 15,000 are estimated to have been killed.

U.N. Report: 549 Ukrainian civilians killed since invasion
The United Nation’s Human Rights Office reported that at least 549 Ukrainian civilians have been killed since Russian initial invasion of their former Soviet neighbor. 41 of those deaths are reportedly children. The UN estimates that another 957 Ukrainian civilians were injured.

Burn Pit Bill Passed by House of Representatives
Veterans suffering from burn pit related health issues celebrate a legislative victory today as HR 3967 passed in a 256-174 vote. The bill must still go through the Senate, which has its own version of the bill. The implication is that the two bodies will have to hash out any discrepancies between the two bills if it is to be passed into law.

13 police officers wounded in shootings over 24-hour period
In a 24-hour period, 13 police officers were wounded in shootings across 4 states. Attacks against police have been on the rise in 2021. According to the FBI, 73 officers were intentionally killed in the line of duty. Consequently marking a 58% increase when compared to the 46 officers intentionally killed in 2020.
