Two members of former President Trump's campaign staff had a verbal and physical altercation with an official at Arlington National Cemetery.

According to reports, a cemetery official tried to prevent Trump staffers from filming and photographing in an off limit section of Arlington National Cemetery. Witnesses claim Arlington officials stated that only cemetery staff members were authorized to take photographs or film in the restricted area. This area was identified as Section 60.

This purportedly led to the campaign staff initiating a "verbal and physical altercation" resulting in the Arlington offical being pushed.

No injuries were reported, but Steven Cheung, the Trump campaign's spokesman, denounced the reports of a physical altercation, claiming, “We are prepared to release footage if such defamatory claims are made.”

The video was not immediately released.

Trump was reportedly invited to the historic cemetery by Gold Star families to attend a memorial service for the 3-year anniversary of the passing of the service members who died during the evacuation of Kabul.

Arlington officials released a statement saying, “To protect the identity of the individual involved, no further information about the incident is being released at this time.”

Furthermore, it was reinforced, "Federal law prohibits political campaign or election-related activities within Army National Military Cemeteries, to include photographers, content creators or any other persons attending for purposes, or in direct support of a partisan political candidate's campaign."

The Trump campaign has largely blamed the Biden administration for the disastrous withdrawal, while the Biden cabinet blames the Trump administration for the mess they inherited.

While the politicians bicker, the families of fallen troops are still grieving, and OEF Veterans are still struggling to cope with the meaning of it all.
