I can honestly say that DUNE: Part One is a cinematic masterpiece. Denis Villeneuve absolutely knocked this film out of the park.

Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings is another Marvel Studios hit, deeply rooted in decades of comic-book lore stemming back to the early 1970s. This movie is stunning. Chinese Martial Arts were at the core of the origins of this character, and he has been a prominent comic-book hero in the Marvel Universe since. Eventually, he was recruited into the Avengers by Cap and Iron Man in the ‘Marvel NOW!’ comic run from 2012-2015.

Holy fuckin’ shit, what did I just watch?! This soft reboot of DC’s infamous Suicide Squad is absolutely mind-blowing.

Marvel Cinematic Studios’ (MCU) “Black Widow” is finally here. We have received the first Marvel movie in two years, and it is exploding with a charged-up adventure that provides the long-awaited backstory of Natasha Romanoff, while following a present-day Natasha on the run after Civil War.

First off, we need to know what exactly Identity Politics is: “politics in which groups of people having a particular racial, religious, ethnic, social, or cultural identity tend to promote their own specific interests or concerns without regard to the interests or concerns of any larger political group.”

When is the last time you watched a movie that did not use CGI (computer-generated imagery)? Most likely, you can’t even remember, because Hollywood has relied on this mode of storytelling for decades. I love film, and I love the idea of being able to tell a story with scenes, exposition, beautiful wide shots, and dramatic landscapes, all being cultivated to create one overarching narrative. It is ingrained in us to overlook CGI, or simply to accept it, regardless of how terrible it is.
