The Internet believes a Kansas City Chiefs superfan may have been arrested for robbing a bank. The fan in question, better known as ‘Chiefsaholic’, was notably absent from the Chief’s game against Houston Texans on December 18, 2022. The story has been picked up by several mainstream media outlets, giving it some plausibility.

Because Chiefsaholic shows up to almost every Chiefs game, in a full-body wolf costume, some became concerned when he didn’t make any posts about the game on his large social media accounts.

As a result, a few internet sleuths announced they believed a man named Xavier Babudar was the masked fan. Furthermore, that he may have committed a bank robbery on December 16, 2022. This being just two days before the Chiefs and Houston Texans game. The suspected ‘Chiefsaholic’ was arrested in Bixby, Oklahoma, after an eyewitness inside the Tulsa Teachers Credit Union called the Bixby Police with a description of a robbery suspect.
This led to officers setting up a perimeter in a nearby neighborhood where the suspect was captured while attempting to flee with a large amount of cash and a weapon.
Xavier Babudar is charged with armed robbery, threatening a violent act, as well as wearing a mask, and the possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony. His bond is set at $200,000.
Since the arrest, no posts have been made on the Chiefsaholic social media accounts. This has added to the speculations of those who believe there is evidence to suggest Babudar has used robbing banks as a way to fund his travels, tickets and sports memorabilia. However, these claims have not been substantiated and Babudar has not yet been given a fair trial to decide his guilt, or innocence.
