Gear Spotlight- What Our Readers Are Picking Up
The company started when Dave, a Marine veteran turned Army service member, devoted himself to producing fresh, quality coffee. His mission: sell fantastic coffee at an unbelievable price and use a percentage of the profit to make the world a better place. The company donates to numerous organizations, including the USO, Hunter 7 Foundation, and North American Rescue.
Mack Belt
An American-made belt company founded by Mack, a Navy veteran who turned to leather crafting as a therapeutic outlet after a career-ending traumatic brain injury while deployed overseas. All products are handmade in Montana by fellow Veterans, and a portion of the proceeds go to the Support Our Troops Foundation.
Keith and Tyler, Army veterans, are the founders of this publishing company that only produces the work of veterans. Authors include Leo Jenkins, Mason Rodrigue, and Amy Sexauer. The company hosts and sponsors poetry readings, peer writers’ groups, courses, and workshop opportunities for veterans and service members.
Reagan, an infantry Marine Veteran, collaborates with over a dozen military and Veteran artists, creatives, and small business owners to produce apparel, flags, custom unit swag, and other goods. Furthermore, a portion of each order is donated to the nonprofit, PB Abbate.
Two Marines, Milt and Josh, found a healthy outlet in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and wanted to bring this therapeutic practice to service members suffering from PTSD and other mental health conditions. The company supports the Gis 4 GIs Foundation and the Veterans Jiu-Jitsu clubs in addition to their own project, The Soul Armor Collection, which posthumously creates gis to honor fallen service members.
