Top level journalism, not afraid of answering the real questions.

We have made a big leap in the age old question of “what base has the best strip clubs?” My journey to Camp Lejeune was full of possibilities as I pulled up to my hotel on US 17. My feet hit the deck and immediately the scent of depressed Marines filled my nostrils. “Ahhh nothing has changed,” I thought to myself.

Dependents still milled around, looking for their next opportunity to con someone into their multi-level marketing schemes. However, there is a beacon of hope in this pit of despair and de-motivation. That is the Gentlemen’s Clubs that populate the area, and I was determined to find the best ones.

I only had enough time (and dollar bills) to visit two strip clubs. I decided on Stiletto Gentlemen’s Club and Platinum Gentlemen’s Club. Both of these clubs maintain 4.7/5 star rating on Google Maps. This is extremely rare for a strip club. Much like Taco Bells, anything over 3-stars is impressive. So I had to visit these two while I was in town.

I went to Stiletto first. It was totally different than what I remembered. Located directly across from School of Infantry East, it was among my earliest memories in the Corps. Marines would sneak through a hole in the base’s fence, and run across the highway to go there. It had been completely redone and the staff was extremely friendly. Pool tables, and cute girls made this a club one that I would highly recommend.

The next stop was Platinum. It too had gone under a renovation with new ownership. The improvement was night and day. The dancers were way more attractive than you would expect for being a military town, and the drinks were reasonably priced. I don’t want to be an alarmist but this might have been the most fun I’ve ever had at a strip club.

There are hundreds of bases, so who can really say what base has the best clubs? However, there is a strong case to be made that Camp Lejeune takes the crown.
