Rep Massie, along with Rep Ro Khanna (D-CA), introduced and championed the bipartisan Epstein Files Transparency Act (EFTA) in 2025.

During his interview with Tucker Carlson, Rep Thomas Massie (R-KY) made a bold claim. He stated that pro Israel lobbies have spent over $10 million trying to oust him in the Republican primary ahead of the midterm elections.

Massie believes that he's being target for refusing to capitulate to the demands of powerful lobbying groups and the current administration. These sentiments were echoed by Carlson, who claims that Massie is running on the campaign promises the Make America Great (MAGA) movement were founded upon, but has since lost touch with.

Through the interview, Rep  Massie identifies the individuals and groups that are trying to silence the “only whistle blower” in Congress. Furthermore, Rep  Massie questions why these groups have such a vested interest in a congressional race in Kentucky.

The incumbent claims he generally votes along party lines, but is being ostracized for his adherence to his values and beliefs. Among the instances he cited was voting against legislation that included funding sex changes for minors, and voting against sending funding to foreign countries. Another example Massie gave was being the only Republican to vote against confirming Mike Johnson as Speaker of the House, who both he and Carlson called the "worst" House Speakers the U.S. has ever had.

Follow the money

Massie stated he ususally raises around $400,000 per election cycle. He also claims that this election cycle he has raised over $5 million dollars, adding this is probably more than he's raised the entire time he has been in Congress.

According to AdImpact, his race against President Trump-backed rival Ed Gallrein is backed up by more than $25.6 million in ad spending. Those staggering figures makes the fight, between Rep Massie and Navy Veteran Gallrein, the most expensive U.S. House primary in history.

Watchdog agencies are claiming that Massie is  being out-financed, with $10.7 million supporting him, and $14.3 million supporting Gallrein.

The Kentucky 4th district primary election will be held May 19th, 2026.
