Daniel Sharp

Flash bangs are now inadvisable to deter criminals, at least according to New Orleans police. After a rash of break-ins has recently swept the country, many gun owners have forgone keeping a pistol in the glove box. However, one man took his actions a step farther to protect his property

Surveillance video shows a would be thief breaking a truck window. The exact intentions are unknown, but some speculate the idea may have been to steal any items of value. Perhaps a limited edition Yani CD, an opened package of mustard, or even a small amount of change from the cupholder.

Unbeknownst to the vandal, the owner of the vehicle allegedly booby trapped the truck with one or more flash bangs. The bandit can see be seen scurrying away after a sudden burst of light. It is even possible the burglar may have soiled themselves by the unusual gait upon retreat.

Local news reported,  “The man, who asked to remain anonymous, said he is tired of his truck getting broken into.”
