Russia: UK's aid to Ukraine won't change a thing
MOSCOW – The Kremlin believes that United Kingdom’s aid to Ukraine in the form of additional military hardware and long-range attack drones will not have any impact on the outcome of the war.
In a statement released on Monday, Russia acknowledged Britain’s assistance but expressed doubt over its potential to alter the course of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy arrived in Britain on Monday seeking further military support, following the recent pledge of cruise missiles. As part of his European tour aimed at sourcing new arms for a counter-offensive against Russia, Zelenskiy received a promise of long-range attack drones.
The UK's decision to provide additional military aid has received an "extremely negative" view from the Kremlin, with officials stating that it would only lead to further destruction and complexity for Ukraine.
Dmitry Peskov, Russian President Vladimir Putin's press secretary, said, “Britain is attempting to be one of the leading countries that continues to supply weaponry to Ukraine."
Peskov went on to say that the Kremlin does not believe the UK's military aid will have a significant impact on the conflict's outcome. Instead, he claimed that it would simply lead to further destruction and military action, ultimately complicating the situation for Ukraine.
Russian news agencies reported on Monday that the Russian defense ministry had successfully shot down a British-supplied Storm Shadow cruise missile fired by Ukraine. However, Reuters has not been able to independently verify the report.
President Zelenskiy has been vocal about his country's need for increased weaponry to achieve the goals of its anticipated counter-offensive. With hopes of pushing back against Russian aggression, Ukraine seeks all available resources and support from Western nations.
