Mike “The Marine” Richman (4-0, 3 KOs) has just captured Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) gold. The former Marine defeated Issac Doolittle (3-1, 1 KO) by third-round KO for the interim Light Heavyweight champion.

The fight was widely regarded as an action packed classic that showed the grit and toughness of both combatants. Richman survived a fierce barrage in the second round, but rallied in the third to secure the victory.

Immediately after the fight, the current Cruiserweight & Light Heavyweight Champion, Lorenzo Hunt, stormed the ring. The altercation left some fans feeling Richman was robbed of his big moment, not being able to give a post fight interview in front of the sold-out crowd in Denver, CO.

The following day, Richman called out the Hunt on his social media by saying:

“The true actually make weight 185 Ibs Champ! you can stop crying you little bitch Lorenzo. either let’s do this or shut the fuck up! @thejuggernauthunt”

After spending months trading verbal blows, Richman and Hunt will seek to unify the belts with their fists in 2023. Richman, who saw combat while serving in the Marine Corps, is very optimistic about his chances. He believes his performance against Doolittle showed that he is extremely difficult to beat.

According to their website, “Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) is the first promotion allowed to hold a legal, sanctioned, and regulated bare knuckle event in the United States since 1889.”
