Recon K9 and Aspetto Inc. shapes the dog handler landscape

Jamie Goldstein

Recon K9 regards working dogs as the operators they are and it shows through their commitment to man’s best friend and a handlers’ best Battle Buddy.

K9 handlers interested in elevating their training and operational prowess need to look to Recon K9. Their team works with military, law enforcement, and civilian handlers to ensure that working K9s are trained and equipped for modern threats in an ever changing theater.

“Recon K9 supports our Nation’s men and women of law enforcement from urban environments to protecting our borders. Law Enforcement takes on many different roles, and we’ve built our line to meet those ever changing demands.”

Recon K9 tailors their gear to meet the needs of all of the branches of our military as well as private security contractors and the Departments of Defense and State. Their products are imagined, designed, and engineered to not only meet, but exceed the highest standards and demands of working dogs and their handlers, even in the most austere environments.

Most recently, Recon K9 has partnered with Aspetto Inc. to add Kwiq Clips, a high speed, low drag, quick release option to various elements of their gear. Designed by Aspetto’s in-house engineering team and prototyped using their in-house 3D printer, these clips offer an ergonomic and intuitive way to don, modulate, and downgrade the equipment you rely on.

142-in-1 Tactical Survival Kit – Because Mother Nature Doesn’t Care About Your DD-214

This ain’t your average “camping kit.” This is the 142-in-1 Survival Tool Kit designed for the kind...

A message from Recon K9’s founder:

“I have dedicated myself to creating unique and specialized gear for dogs since 2006 when I started the Dublin Dog Co. for consumer pet and sporting dogs. I had the privilege of selling that business to Remington Outdoor Co., one of the nation’s oldest gun manufacturers in 2012. It was there I was introduced to Remington Defense and the specialized canine gear required by our men and women in uniform. Since that time, I have designed, created, and fielded kit to every branch of the military, and countless law enforcement and defense agencies. It’s both my pleasure and honor to work with you and the working dogs that keep our Nation safe.” – Jason Watson, Founder
