Many share this auspicious day with loved ones in one of the many traditions held at the Depot. However, Parris Island stated, “all command dinners associated with recruit training graduations have been cancelled indefinitely.”

These events were held to allow families to meet the recruit’s command, and training staff. They also allowed visitors to hear from Drill Instructors about the trails and tribulations of the island. Guests were also treated to “sneak peaks” of pictures and videos of significant training events.

The statement goes on to say, “Additionally, as a reminder for families visiting the depot for graduation week activities mitigation efforts to include face masks being worn in all indoor facilities, social distancing, etc., are still being enforced aboard the depot.”

Families who have already paid for their meal will receive a full refund. If you have a loved one about to graduate, make sure keep an eye on any announcements the Depot may make.
