Spokesperson for Pakistani army stated more than 8,000 military operations were carried out against terrorists this year

According to a statement from the Army’s Public Relations Department, the operation was carried out based on confidential information, and the security forces killed the Syed Khan group of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Miramsha, North Waziristan.

The Army conducted the operation with the intention of arresting the militants and succeeded in capturing the seven armed men who were present at the scene. An army official in Miramshah, who spoke to Mashal Radio, asserted that the group led by Syed Khan had escaped to Afghanistan following the army’s Zarb-e-Azb operation against militants in 2014. Nevertheless, they have recently resumed their activities in North Waziristan.
